Job Description

Bosch seeks an Electrical and Electronics Systems Integration Specialist to work in Bengaluru on a full-time, on-site basis. This professional will map vehicle electrical connections, benchmark OEM harness interfaces, and perform load and power budgeting analyses across different operational modes. The specialist will design vehicle-level powernet topologies, create electrical schematics using tools like Visio and draw.io, and define specifications for automotive-grade connectors and wire types.

Additionally, the role involves rapid prototyping of electronic solutions using microcontrollers and single-board computers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and ESP32. Candidates will apply electromagnetic compatibility principles to ensure reliable operation in high-noise environments. This position is suited for engineers with practical experience in embedded development, automotive wiring, and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, trace, and map stock vehicle electrical connections, sensor interfaces, and actuator control lines
  • Benchmark OEM harness interfaces, sensors including analog, digital, PWM, and CAN/LIN, and actuators
  • Tap into or emulate vehicle control signals without disrupting original vehicle functions
  • Perform load and power budgeting analyses to define system current draw, peak loads, and continuous power consumption
  • Propose, define, and optimize 12 V and high-voltage powernet topologies to integrate ECUs, sensors, actuators, and telematics systems
  • Author and maintain electrical schematics, pinout diagrams, block diagrams, and system architecture drawings
  • Define specifications for automotive-grade connectors, terminals, protective sleeving, and wire types
  • Calculate wire gauge requirements and derive appropriate fuse, circuit breaker, and relay ratings
  • Build proof-of-concept functional models and signal transceivers using single-board computers and microcontrollers
  • Apply EMI and EMC design principles for harness layout, ground loop prevention, shielding, and transient suppression

Requirements

  • Possess 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrate a strong foundational understanding of analog and digital electronics, power electronics, and automotive sensing technology
  • Have awareness of basic automotive terminologies for powernet connections, startup and shutdown sequences, and E/E architectures
  • Bring practical knowledge of fusing strategies and intelligent power distribution for add-on consumers in test vehicles
  • Show practical experience implementing guardrails such as emergency stop strategies in test vehicles
  • Demonstrate hands-on proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and CAN/LIN bus tools like Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and Kvaser
  • Have practical embedded development experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar prototyping platforms
  • Maintain deep familiarity with automotive relays, fuses, power distribution units, and standard automotive connectors including TE, Molex, and Aptiv
  • Show awareness of high-voltage safety standards including ISO 6469 and UNECE R100, isolation monitoring, interlocks, and safe handling procedures for EV and HEV powertrain integration

Qualifications

  • Hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Automotive Electronics, or Mechatronics
