Canva is seeking an EMEA Talent Acquisition Lead to join its team in London on a 14-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid position requires working two to three days per week in the office, with flexibility determined by the team.
In this role, the successful candidate will manage a regional recruitment team of five and act as a strategic advisor to regional leaders and Country Managers. Responsibilities include shaping talent acquisition operating models, navigating multi-market expansions, establishing hiring strategies for new countries, and managing recruitment across disciplines such as Growth, Marketing, SEO, Content, and Customer Service. The position suits an experienced talent leader who excels in high-growth environments, brings strong commercial judgment, and thrives amid organizational change and ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a regional talent acquisition team of five professionals
- Partner with EMEA leadership and Country Managers to build practical hiring strategies for new and existing markets
- Design and refine the EMEA talent acquisition operating model for scale and local nuance
- Collaborate with People, Total Rewards, Legal, and Contingent Workforce teams to align on local hiring regulations and compensation
- Manage recruitment pipelines across multiple functional areas including Growth, Marketing, SEO, Content, Customer Service, and leadership roles
- Use market intelligence and insights to guide leadership decisions regarding workforce investments and hiring trade-offs
Requirements
- Experience leading talent acquisition across multiple EMEA markets
- Demonstrated background in supporting international or new-market expansion within high-growth settings
- Proven experience as a people leader who builds and coaches high-performing teams
- Track record of acting as a strategic partner to influence senior leaders and balance competing priorities
