Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact point for internal personnel needing maintenance and support for desktop computing infrastructure
- Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware assets including PCs, terminals, printers, and scanners
- Troubleshoot technical issues via phone, remote access, or in-person interactions
- Deliver technical assistance across a multi-platform infrastructure encompassing Windows, Android, and Linux
- Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for staff members based in the Chippenham office and the broader organization
- Record, track, and monitor all reported problems utilizing the ISM helpdesk platform
- Procure, set up, manage, and develop laptops, desktop PCs, peripherals, printers, and mobile technology
- Facilitate secure network access for remote workers and advise users on best practices such as file sharing and encryption
Requirements
- Ability to assemble, configure, and maintain hardware components and peripheral accessories
- Experience in software and hardware troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Windows 10 and 11
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware components such as RAM, SSD, and HDD
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance
- Possession of a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK
