In this position, you will oversee end-to-end technical planning and project execution for your designated product area. You will guide cross-functional groups consisting of engineers, product managers, quality assurance specialists, and user experience designers to ensure timely and predictable delivery. Your duties will involve reviewing product requirements for technical feasibility, creating architectural EPICs and user stories, leading sprint planning, and coordinating stakeholder alignment to eliminate obstacles.
The successful candidate will maintain high technical benchmarks by staying hands-on during critical projects, providing design guidance, and performing code reviews. Furthermore, you will track system observability and service level objectives while managing team bandwidth and velocity. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project execution and delivery across cross-functional product groups
- Evaluate business requirements for technical feasibility and transform them into EPICs and user stories
- Partner with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to groom and prioritize the backlog
- Drive sprint execution by establishing timelines, delivery milestones, and identifying dependencies
- Monitor team capacity and velocity to optimize resource allocation and balance workloads
- Participate directly in critical initiatives by guiding architectural designs and conducting code reviews
- Maintain robust service monitoring and observability to meet defined SLIs and SLOs
- Collaborate with product managers to track and publish post-release metrics
- Conduct regular performance reviews and mentor engineering staff
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a software developer, software engineer, or in a similar hands-on technical role
- At least 5 years of experience building production systems utilizing Java and Spring Boot
- Minimum 3 years of engineering leadership experience managing high-performing teams
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies including sprint planning and iterative delivery
- Familiarity with project planning, tracking tools, and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Exposure to frontend technologies alongside strong backend engineering expertise
