Job Description
Canonical is seeking a manager to head its Linux hardware enablement team. The position is fast-paced and centred on solving problems. The team works alongside the Linux engineering staff at a large chip maker, moving through the whole Linux stack from kernel up to the graphical interface, to tune Ubuntu, the most widely deployed Linux desktop and server system, for the latest chips. The successful candidate can produce a variety of solutions spanning PC and IoT technologies.
The manager leads a distributed group of engineers building the best possible Ubuntu integration for current IoT and rack-server hardware platforms and their software stacks. The manager should have led or managed software engineers, grasp agile methods, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
