Coinbase is hiring an Enterprise Engineer to join its EE Legal Platforms team on a full-time, remote basis. Coinbase operates with a remote-first model, though staff meet quarterly for in-person working sessions known as surges. The position involves owning and operating the legal technology stack, which features applications such as Ironclad, Evisort, Brightflag, DocuSign, Salesforce, Snowflake, Workato, Zip, Symphony, and Slack.
This role focuses on building and managing workflows, integrations, and data foundations to keep legal systems reliable, scalable, and auditable. The Enterprise Engineer works in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering departments to deliver platform enhancements and automation across the legal toolchain.
Ideal candidates can operate independently without explicit requirements, translating technical concepts for business stakeholders. The position suits professionals experienced in administering contract lifecycle management and electronic signature platforms, managing API integrations, and maintaining large-scale data integrity.

Responsibilities
- Own Ironclad architecture, workflows, and contract lifecycle management alongside upstream and downstream system integrations
- Build and maintain system integrations and automation via Workato and APIs to minimize manual intake and fulfillment tasks
- Support and develop adjacent legal platforms like Evisort, Brightflag, and DocuSign with an emphasis on operational reliability
- Conduct data migrations, backfills, reconciliations, and data hygiene maintenance across the legal toolchain
- Manage platform access and credentials for legal systems, encompassing token lifecycle management and access controls
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering groups to execute cross-functional initiatives safely in production
Requirements
- Bring 3 to 6+ years of experience administering and evolving Ironclad, DocuSign, or comparable CLM and eSignature platforms in production environments
- Possess hands-on experience building integrations using Workato or similar iPaaS tools, REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication flows
- Demonstrate a track record of performing data migrations, bulk loads, and reconciliations while preserving data integrity at scale
- Ability to independently own a platform end-to-end and translate technical specifications into guidance for business stakeholders
- Utilize generative AI responsibly with human-in-the-loop practices to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
