Job Description
Toptal operates a worldwide network of talent that helps companies scale teams on demand. This full-time Enterprise Sales Executive role serves the HLS vertical in the United States, which spans healthcare and life sciences. The executive finds, develops and wins deals with large provider, payer and life-sciences organizations, tackling hard business problems through technology, marketing, consulting and AI-enabled transformation. The role suits seasoned hunters who want to build a book of business from scratch and create lasting executive relationships.
The job is remote but needs frequent in-person work nationwide, and it answers to the General Manager running the HLS vertical. Core tasks include building a portfolio by opening new accounts, then handing signed clients to Client Partners for expansion. Early-stage accounts usually involve mid-level contacts spread over a pair of business units and need a blunt, direct approach. Mature accounts need consultative work with senior leaders across several units. The executive also sets account strategy, manages pipeline and forecasts, and collaborates with the Pursuits and Delivery groups to shape solutions.
Ramp takes nine to twelve months, after which performance is measured on $3.5 million in annualized gross sales. Pay combines a base salary with monthly commissions tied to revenue from engagements sold. Trips to see clients, conferences and internal gatherings are expected roughly 25 to 40 percent of the time.
Candidates need seven to ten or more years in professional services, ideally at a top consulting house, with account management and solution-selling expertise in large enterprises. The posting also asks for a record of managing a book of at least $5 million in annualized gross value, closing complex multi-phase deals of at least $250,000 with enterprises that have $2 billion or more in revenue, and comfort engaging C-level executives on HLS trends. A bachelor's degree is required.
