Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close procedure and group reporting activities
• Oversee multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations alongside IFRS statutory financial statements
• Review critical schedules, journals, and reconciliation documents
• Direct external audits, tax processes, and statutory compliance obligations
• Supervise direct and indirect taxes across operational jurisdictions and oversee transfer pricing arrangements
• Maintain regulatory compliance including AML, business permits, and licensing requirements
• Handle treasury functions, cash flow movements, liquidity management, and foreign exchange exposure
• Drive budgeting initiatives and analyze operational performance against financial plans
• Prepare reporting packs for lenders, investors, and the board of directors while monitoring covenant compliance
• Lead, develop, and supervise the accounting, compliance, and investor relations team members
• Operate, extend, and improve AI-driven reporting and reconciliation tooling

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of finance and accounting experience with progressive career responsibility
• Demonstrated background in managing month-end close and reporting workflows
• Experience with consolidations, IFRS statutory accounts, and external audits
• Practical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes such as corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax
• Hands-on experience with KRA, iTax, and eTIMS systems
• Proficiency in utilizing AI tools for daily work and workflow automation
• Experience communicating effectively with senior stakeholders, auditors, and lenders

Qualifications

• Professional accounting credential including K-CPA, ACCA, or a recognized equivalent
• Exposure to group transfer pricing
• Familiarity with multiple jurisdictions or multi-entity group structures
• Background in external investor or lender reporting
• Hands-on practice with cloud finance platforms such as Xero or Fathom
• Prior experience working in fintech, lending, financial services, or agriculture sectors
