The publicly traded enterprise is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for Category Management within its strategic finance division. This remote position answers directly to the Senior Finance Manager of Category Management.
In this capacity, the hired professional will take ownership of category P&L management, revenue forecasting, financial modeling, and customer lifetime value calculations. The position suits analytical individuals capable of constructing robust financial models from scratch, managing pricing strategies across multiple business lines, and presenting actionable insights to category directors and executive management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and own revenue and contribution margin forecasts across various business lines
- Advise category directors by providing current financial analyses, data, and insights regarding short and long-term positions
- Maintain customer lifetime value models and serve as the subject matter expert on unit economics
- Develop and manage evaluation frameworks to assess the priority and impact of competing initiatives
- Construct complex spreadsheet models from scratch to address specific business questions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish, oversee, and optimize pricing strategies
- Define key performance indicators, design scorecards, and automate reporting processes
- Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and executive leadership
- Contribute to the review and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools to build efficient and sustainable analytical processes
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting, or possess equivalent practical experience
- Bring a minimum of two years of working background in analytical financial positions such as consulting, investment banking, or strategic finance
- Demonstrate the ability to manipulate large datasets
Qualifications
- Possess a CFA or CPA designation
- Show prior background working in a technology or consumer investment banking group, or at a high-growth company
- Have familiarity with online subscription business models, lifetime value concepts, and acquisition marketing metrics
- Demonstrate past experience using SQL or Looker
