Lightspeed Commerce seeks a Junior Accountant to join its team in Manila on a permanent work-from-home basis. Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly bank, payment processor, and other payment reconciliations while investigating and resolving any variances
- Handle unapplied customer payments and collaborate with the Collections team to allocate and resolve them
- Prepare and submit Canadian sales tax returns including GST, QST, and PST, alongside managing related payables and reporting
- Handle sales and withholding tax reclassifications and ensure tax data accuracy within Salesforce
- Provide documentation and supporting evidence for audit samples to assist with external audits
- Find and suggest ways to refine and optimize accounting workflows
Requirements
- Previous work history in a comparable accounting function
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or automation tools
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Interpersonal capabilities and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Fluency in English
- Availability to work North American EST hours
