Natera is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Solutions Engineer to join the central AI & Automation team and embed within business domains such as Commercial, Clinical Operations, Lab Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Customer Experience. The individual in this position will identify opportunities where artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation can significantly enhance efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities include mapping workflows, designing future-state processes, building and deploying agents, and managing performance in production.
Natera operates as a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, focusing on areas like oncology, women's health, and organ health. The company brings together statisticians, geneticists, medical doctors, laboratory scientists, software engineers, and business professionals to integrate personalized genetic testing and diagnostics into standard healthcare.
This is a remote, full-time opportunity offering a base salary range of $105,700 to $132,100 per year for standard cost of living areas, with adjustments for lower and higher cost regions, alongside additional components such as bonus and equity. Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency using AI agents and automation tools
- Map current and future-state workflows across diverse business systems
- Build and connect production agents and automation pipelines within IT and security guardrails
- Manage end-to-end agent performance by tracking key performance indicators and evaluations
- Triage failures, tune prompts and context, and instrument system observability
Requirements
- Hands-on technical fluency with CLIs, APIs, webhooks, SQL, and Python scripting
- Working knowledge of LLM and agent behavior including prompting, RAG, MCP, and evaluations
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and secure access principles
Qualifications
- Prior experience delivering measurable outcomes in partnership with business teams
- Hands-on work with enterprise agentic platforms or direct model APIs
- Background in product management, solutions engineering, consulting, or technical operations
- Experience operating in regulated environments such as HIPAA, SOC 2, GxP, or SOX
