The engineering team working on the core product focuses on scaling systems, enhancing user engagement, improving moderation, and driving user growth. As a full-stack engineer on this team, you will build and launch features that shape the main platform experience. This position suits recent graduates looking to develop applications at a massive scale using data and experimentation to guide each release.
Engineers collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists while participating in an on-call rotation. The total compensation package includes a base salary ranging from USD 97,600 to 139,000 per year for United States applicants, alongside equity and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Build full stack applications utilizing React and Python
- Design, iterate, and launch product features at a massive scale through data and experimentation
- Drive software projects from initial concept through production deployment
- Partner with product managers, designers, fellow engineers, and data scientists to build functionality and evaluate user impact
- Take part in the team on-call rotation to maintain product reliability and quality
Requirements
- Available for meetings and communication during coordination hours from Monday through Friday between 9 am and 3 pm Pacific Time
- Graduating in 2025 or 2026 with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Foundational knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design gained through academic coursework or practical application
- Familiarity with Python or a similar programming language, or the capacity to learn them rapidly
- A strong drive for continuous learning and personal development
Qualifications
- Prior software engineering background through internships, work experience, or coding competitions
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Python, or SQL
- Enthusiasm for the core mission and goals of Quora
- Curiosity regarding artificial intelligence and hands-on exposure to AI tooling or projects
