This position combines client support, technical troubleshooting, and consultative sales functions. Post-training, the individual in this role will guide small business owners through initial platform setup, assist with payroll configurations, and help clients navigate tax requirements. Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume client interactions across telephone and email channels to assist small business owners from initial onboarding through their first payroll run
- Handle ticket queues systematically to oversee the customer pipeline
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and pitch plan upgrades for 401(k), health insurance, and workers' compensation
- Troubleshoot live tax discrepancies, navigate unfamiliar state portals, and ensure state, company size, and industry compliance
- Configure overtime policies, paid time off, and sick time to maintain business compliance
- Collaborate with internal risk and specialist teams to handle complex client situations and verify required documentation
- Integrate assigned artificial intelligence tools daily for tasks like research, writing, prep, and summarization while supplying feedback for tool improvement
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of experience in a customer service or sales role with high volume, involving quotas, key performance indicators, cross-selling, or upselling
- Demonstrate day-to-day experience using artificial intelligence for research, writing, preparation, and summarization tasks
- Maintain a secure, reliable internet connection if approved to work outside of an official office
- Fulfill office attendance expectations approximately two to three days per week when based in designated office locations
