The organization seeks a Head of Finance Systems & Data to lead modernization, architecture, and artificial intelligence adoption within the finance department. This individual will partner directly with the Chief Financial Officer and finance leadership to prepare the business for public-company standards.
The position requires a versatile leader who can operate as a program manager, technical architect, and coach. Responsibilities include building a multi-year finance technology roadmap, driving automation and artificial intelligence enablement, overseeing the finance data framework, and managing external vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge of financial software with experience scaling high-performing technical teams.
Faire maintains a hybrid work arrangement requiring employees to work from the office three days per week, consisting of Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one flexible day chosen by the employee. Team members may also work remotely for up to four weeks annually. Responsibilities
- Design and execute the multi-quarter technology roadmap for finance systems including NetSuite, procurement, payroll, equity, planning, and reporting tools.
- Implement artificial intelligence capabilities across the finance organization to automate close processes, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Supervise the finance data function to guarantee data accuracy and reconciliation between operational and financial metrics.
- Collaborate across departments with engineering, data platform, IT, legal, and accounting teams.
- Handle vendor selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing renewal management.
- Lead, coach, and scale a technical team of five or more professionals.
Requirements
- Possess at least ten years of professional experience in finance systems or business systems with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrate hands-on technical expertise using NetSuite and broader finance SaaS application portfolios.
- Show a proven history of executing artificial intelligence and automation projects within a finance or business systems environment.
- Bring direct background in preparing for or operating within a publicly traded company.
