The organization seeks a Senior Finance Analytics Engineer to expand an essential function focused on building, maintaining, and scaling the data models, pipelines, and systems required to track financial results and derive business insights.
Stationed within the Finance division in New York, this position collaborates alongside Accounting, Finance and Strategy, Engineering, and Data Infrastructure teams. The incoming professional will automate core accounting workflows, improve reporting accuracy, establish strategic data roadmaps, and introduce generative AI solutions to drive productivity.

Responsibilities
- Design, construct, scope, and maintain complex ETL/ELT pipelines aggregating business metrics and financial reporting using engineering standards
- Partner technically with Accounting and Finance teams to gather requirements, ensure accurate ledgers, and enable data-backed decisions
- Collaborate with Engineering and Data Infrastructure to manage data integrations such as S3 pipelines and Fivetran connectors
- Implement testing, monitoring, and alerting for data workflows while promoting CI/CD engineering practices
- Lead data strategy initiatives, roadmap planning, and prioritization aligned with organizational goals
- Modernize financial workflows and increase leverage through the implementation of generative AI productivity tools
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional background in data analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a closely related area
- Advanced proficiency in SQL centering on data modeling, large-scale data processing, and analytics tool development
- Demonstrated capability in creating and supporting production-grade ETL/ELT workflows using data warehousing, analytics workflow tools, and visualization software
- Working knowledge of Python or equivalent languages for automation, tooling, and pipeline creation
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD practices for production data pipelines
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Qualifications
- Familiarity with marketplace or transactional business models and Faire's data stack
- Experience configuring monitoring and alerting systems for data pipelines
- Background in finance or accounting, including supporting financial reporting pipelines
- Experience supporting SOX compliance controls, audit trails, and change management
- Bachelor or undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline
- Enthusiasm for leveraging generative AI to boost team productivity
