Responsibilities
- Manage the comprehensive strategic direction for the global KYC program, encompassing policy creation, operational implementation, and enterprise-wide process design
- Lead a second-line compliance team of KYC specialists by establishing performance metrics and fostering career growth
- Oversee worldwide KYC issue resolution, monitoring corrective actions and first-line operational performance
- Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and customer experience units to roll out KYC protocols for new jurisdictions and products
- Act as the Directly Responsible Individual for regulatory inquiries and deliver executive-level reporting regarding key performance indicators and program status
- Partner with legal and business stakeholders to interpret global requirements and design scalable compliance solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience designing, managing, and executing KYC programs within a financial institution, featuring direct people management history
- Background working with digital assets or fintech operations
- Thorough understanding of worldwide anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, and sanctions regulations such as the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN CDD Rule, and EU AML directives
- Proven ability to build and scale global KYC operations from inception through execution, covering risk frameworks and operational procedures
- Experience functioning as a senior escalation contact for onboarding and client risk matters
