The leader defines long-range direction and team structure, aiming for stronger negotiating power, scalable operations and dependable controls in every business unit.
The ideal candidate is a veteran operator who blends sourcing expertise with a commanding presence. Key work covers negotiating major enterprise deals for software, technology infrastructure and shared global services, upgrading procurement tools and workflows through automation and AI, and delivering measurable cost savings without slowing the business.
Motive presents its platform as a tool set for organizations that run field operations, helping them manage drivers, vehicles, equipment and fleet spending from one place. The company says it counts close to 100,000 customers, from small firms to large enterprises.
This is a full-time, on-site role in the United States. The leader works alongside senior executives and leaders in Legal, IT, Security, Workplace, Finance and other corporate functions, and builds a worldwide group spanning sourcing, purchasing, accounts payable and procurement operations. - Experience renewing procurement technology, policy structures and operating models
- Strong working relationships with senior executives and other stakeholders
- A track record of recruiting, developing and keeping top leaders and teams
- Executive-grade communication, negotiation and analysis skills
Qualifications
- Background in fast-scaling enterprise technology or subscription software companies
- Partnership history with Finance and Accounting leaders on P2P rollouts, ERP connections, controls and compliance
- Experience building vendor-risk programs, security sign-off processes and governance frameworks
- Hands-on strategic problem-solving combined with executive poise
- An MBA or graduate degree tied to supply chain, finance or business management is a plus, and executive credentials help too
