The position requires guiding an end-to-end customer journey from initial discovery to active product adoption, incorporating artificial intelligence into agentic surfaces, assistants, and user interfaces. Responsibilities

  • Own the complete end-to-end new customer experience spanning discovery, web traffic, onboarding, and activation
  • Define and promote a strategic vision for how small businesses discover and adopt Gusto through AI assistants and agentic interfaces
  • Drive conversion optimization, acquisition volume, and successful setup rates for inbound users
  • Collaborate daily with engineering, design, data, marketing, sales, and finance to align on shared platform strategies
  • Directly lead, mentor, and coach a team of senior product managers to elevate execution velocity and customer understanding

Requirements

  • Have at least 10 years of direct product management experience, including a minimum of 4 years managing product managers
  • Demonstrate a track record of owning acquisition, onboarding, or growth funnels with direct accountability for revenue or conversion metrics
  • Possess hands-on experience shipping artificial intelligence-powered customer experiences and utilizing AI tools for daily research and prototyping
  • Bring previous experience selling to small and medium businesses within a multi-product company featuring shared platforms
  • Commit to hybrid office attendance of approximately two to three days per week at the San Francisco location
