Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end SOX business process controls testing programme by creating and executing annual and interim testing plans.
• Deliver design effectiveness and operating effectiveness testing consistently.
• Maintain and improve testing methodology, templates, sampling guidance, and evidence standards while conducting quality assurance reviews.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on business process testing, governance reporting, and walkthrough coordination.
• Supervise external testing resources and co-sourced teams to guarantee performance quality and eliminate workflow bottlenecks.
• Oversee issue identification, severity classification, and the creation of measurable remediation plans.
• Establish a low-friction evidence request process to decrease administrative burden on process owners.
• Build the Hyderabad testing hub from the ground up, including recruiting, coaching, and supervising a team of six or more testers.
• Explore and integrate AI and analytics tools for evidence extraction, population testing, and exception identification.
• Analyze testing results to identify trends and provide guidance to improve control design and execution across the business.

Requirements

• Demonstrated SOX or ICFR testing experience handling business process controls for both design and operating effectiveness.
• Deep familiarity with controls testing methodology, sample selection, evidence requirements, and relevant audit standards.
• Demonstrated background in overseeing an entire testing programme lifecycle from planning to reporting.
• Experience directing and coordinating external or co-sourced testing teams to maintain high quality standards.
• Advanced stakeholder management abilities with a talent for influencing remediation processes.
• Superior written documentation and governance communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prior background in establishing or expanding a testing function or a controls center of excellence.
• Employment history within fintech, high-growth, or heavily regulated industries.
• Familiarity with continuous controls monitoring, data analytics, or AI-driven assurance methods.
• Track record of collaborating across multiple time zones and distributed teams.
