Deloitte is seeking an Immigration Consultant for its Global Employer Services division. This position focuses on meeting client and organizational expectations by delivering high-quality professional services and maintaining high utilization levels. Responsibilities
- Manage tax compliance, controversy, and advisory projects from start to finish with limited oversight
- Conduct initial and final tax briefings for staff members regarding mobility
- Direct and supervise teams handling tax advisory, tax controversy, and tax compliance engagements
- Handle client relationships to ensure all client needs are properly met
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members
- Generate deliverables including tax computations, advisories, objections, and tax dispute appeals
- Oversee Global Advantage platforms for assigned client portfolios
- Seek out and pursue new business development opportunities
- Assist managers with planning and executing project assignments
- Aid in collecting debts from debtors and preparing time costs for time-based engagements
Requirements
- Three to four years of client-facing experience managing payroll taxes, tax controversy, and payroll-related tax advisory
- Familiarity with the employment tax and immigration environment in Kenya
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Interpersonal capabilities suited for relationship building and people management
- Coaching and mentoring skills with a drive for self-development and developing others
- Adaptability in managing change and ambiguity
- Problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Networking abilities combined with business and industry awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business, commerce, Economics, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA, either completed or ongoing
