Bosch is seeking a Regional Solution Field Manager to direct the Embedded and Compute Middleware operations in India. This position involves financial administration, market expansion, customer relationship management, and staff supervision. The portfolio encompasses foundational software, middleware, and configuration utilities designed to support cybersecurity and hardware abstraction across microcontroller-based electronic control units and microprocessor-based domain controllers. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio at headquarters, the incumbent will collaborate with sales teams and global departments to drive regional business growth while representing local market needs.
The role suits an experienced professional who combines technical expertise in automotive embedded software with commercial and organizational leadership capabilities. Responsibilities include managing regional budgets, developing marketing strategies, engaging with clients on technical topics, and overseeing multidisciplinary teams consisting of field application engineers, project managers, and technical support staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage regional sales and financial results for the Embedded and Compute Middleware portfolio in India
- Oversee the regional budget, encompassing financial planning and expense control
- Drive business development and marketing initiatives to expand market presence and introduce new solutions
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to formulate client proposals and value propositions
- Formulate and execute the regional business strategy in coordination with global headquarters
- Communicate regional client requirements and market trends to global stakeholders
- Engage directly with customers regarding business and technical aspects of embedded automotive software
- Lead and supervise field application engineers, technical support functions, and customer project managers
- Handle workforce recruitment, performance evaluations, and employee professional development
Requirements
- Minimum five years of professional experience in a technical role within the automotive sector or with industry clients
- Minimum three years of organizational leadership or management experience
- Minimum three years of experience in business development, product marketing, product planning, technical sales, field application engineering, or project management
- Experience working in a globally operating or foreign-affiliated organization with international collaboration
- Demonstrated background in P&L or business management, people management, and performance evaluation
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree
Qualifications
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR Classic and automotive middleware or software platforms such as BSW, RTE, and MCAL
- Experience implementing CAN, Ethernet, and SOME/IP protocols
- Background in electronic control unit integration and validation
- Experience in open-source software development and automotive cybersecurity
- Practical experience utilizing ETAS products and solutions
- Comprehension of the automotive embedded software ecosystem and software-defined vehicle architectures
