Bosch is seeking an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager to serve as a Customer Project Manager for original equipment customers. This professional acts as the internal entrepreneur for new product development initiatives, guiding innovative solutions to achieve key division targets.
The role involves steering projects from inception through execution by building charters, establishing top-level schedules, tracking expenditures, and controlling project profit and budgets. The selected individual will manage stakeholder relationships, coordinate internal and external audits, oversee customer sample timing and quality, and guide change management processes. Furthermore, this position requires leading a project team, maintaining documentation, handling risk management, and ensuring key performance indicators related to delivery, earnings, and completeness are met.
Candidates should possess relevant engineering education and a background in manufacturing, engineering, key account management, or project management, ideally within the automotive sector working with original equipment manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Establish the project charter and project management plan
- Define the top-level project schedule and monitor target achievements
- Conduct project risk management and stakeholder management
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of customer samples
- Estimate and track project costs, budgets, and profitability
- Prepare and present regular project status reports
- Manage the interface between the client and the project team
- Direct and develop the project team while issuing related instructions
- Maintain internal and external project documentation
- Execute lessons learned reviews and final project evaluations
- Handle customer change management requests and coordinate approvals for internal changes
- Assist the acquisition management team during the acquisition phase
- Coordinate internal and external audits
Requirements
- Engineering degree (BE)
- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in project management, key account management, engineering, or manufacturing
- Working experience at an automotive company, preferably with original equipment manufacturers
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and brake systems
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Commercial aptitude and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Negotiation and persuasion skills
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Bosch project management methods
- Proficiency in the German language
- PMI certification
