Freshworks is hiring a Lead - Revenue Accounting to work on-site in Bengaluru on a full-time basis. This role focuses on optimizing financial operations, managing revenue streams, and implementing process automation. It is designed for an analytical professional who can partner across departments to scale financial infrastructure and maintain compliance standards.
The position suits an experienced accountant with deep knowledge of ASC 606 and SOX compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing various income streams, collaborating with internal teams to resolve operational bottlenecks, and handling audit-related inquiries. Candidates should be comfortable adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting while managing large volumes of financial data.

Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting, analysis, and reporting for subscription, on-premise, marketplace, and reseller revenue streams
- Partner with Billings, IT BizApps, and Analytics teams to spot operational hurdles and implement workflow enhancements
- Lead lifecycle transformations and process improvements to support scalability in revenue reporting
- Deliver financial insights and support holistic reporting for business units
- Understand financial system architecture, oversee report testing, and manage upstream system modifications
- Produce analyses for ad-hoc requests that involve limited information
- Handle inquiries related to external audits
- Partner with Internal Audit to maintain a strong SOX and ICFR control environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in audit, financial operations, or revenue accounting
- Expertise in core operations and automation within a SOX or ICFR framework
- Advanced understanding of ASC 606 principles
- Strong analytical capabilities to turn complex data into practical improvements
- Experience working on process transformation initiatives
- High adaptability to pivot based on changing business needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Excel for managing large data sets and manual models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and daily duties
- Ability to commute to the Bangalore office three times a week
Qualifications
