InMobi seeks a Machine Learning Engineer II - Backend to join its team in Bengaluru for a full-time, on-site role. InMobi is a global technology company operating in advertising and commerce, utilizing generative AI and machine learning to build scalable platforms for brands and consumers.
In this position, the professional will design, build, test, and maintain advanced machine learning systems and data pipelines. The role requires collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and architects to deploy production-ready microservices, monitor model performance, and handle end-to-end workflows from conception to launch. Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning models optimized for reliability and speed
- Develop APIs and microservices to serve machine learning models in production environments
- Build and maintain data ingestion, preprocessing, and model training pipelines
- Identify optimization strategies to boost scalability, cut expenses, and eliminate bugs
- Track production model performance using statistical techniques
- Coordinate with analytics, architecture, and product management teams to deliver backend features
- Lead or participate in proof-of-concept projects and full-scale feature implementations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Proven background in building and deploying machine learning models in production
- Strong proficiency in Python alongside machine learning frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Familiarity with distributed data tools, Java, Scala, and Spark
- Solid understanding of hypothesis testing and statistical methodologies
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to validate hypotheses rapidly through experimentation
- Background in constructing personalization, ranking, or recommendation engines
- Prior exposure to ad tech or online advertising environments
- Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing, and distributed data architectures
- Previous data science research experience or involvement
- Strong foundational knowledge in linear algebra and statistics
- Practical experience utilizing Databricks
- Knowledge of big data analytics and massively large-scale data systems
- Experience deploying applications onto public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
