Bosch is currently hiring a Mechanical Design professional specializing in CAD NX to join their engineering team on a full-time basis. This role centers on developing 3D routing for wiring harnesses utilizing the Siemens NX Electrical Routing module while adhering to specific packaging and design guidelines.
The successful candidate will construct 2D flattening drawings that include bundle diameters, wire lengths, and branch specifics. Additional duties involve managing connectors, clamps, clips, and protective coverings within the NX library, alongside executing routing feasibility, clearance analysis, and bend radius checks to meet engineering standards. Professionals in this position will also generate bills of materials, wiring tables, and manufacturing documentation, while evaluating electrical characteristics and electromagnetic compatibility implications linked to the wiring harness design.
This position requires an individual capable of independent task execution as well as proactive teamwork and quality focus.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop wiring harness 3D routing using the Siemens NX Electrical Routing module
- Prepare 2D flattening drawings detailing wire lengths, bundle diameters, and branch specifications
- Define and manage connectors, clips, clamps, and protective coverings in the NX library
- Perform routing feasibility, clearance analysis, and bend radius checks
- Ensure compliance with engineering design standards
- Generate and maintain bills of materials, wiring tables, and harness documentation
- Assess electrical characteristics and EMC influences related to wiring harness design
- Coordinate with tooling suppliers from end to end
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience
- Medium to expert level proficiency in UG-NX, Teamcenter, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of electrical components and data sheet interpretation
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Proficiency in utilizing configuration files, templates, and mechanical standards
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving, analytical, and logical thinking capabilities

- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical
