Canonical is seeking an Open Source Enterprise Sales Manager to direct its sales operations in North America. As the publisher of Ubuntu, Canonical provides open source software and operating systems utilized across artificial intelligence, internet of things, cloud computing, and engineering initiatives. The organization operates globally with a distributed workforce and minimal physical offices, relying on remote collaboration.

This position involves managing direct sales professionals, building strategic relationships, negotiating contracts, and meeting revenue targets. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in technology sales, expertise in Linux and open source ecosystems, and a record of exceeding expectations. Team members participate in domestic and international travel for client meetings and biannual company events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage direct sales professionals within North America
  • Build and expand strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Develop and execute sales engagement strategies
