The organization seeks a Packaging Officer within its Repair Operations department to handle the preparation of refurbished terminals. In this on-site position based in Port Harcourt, Rivers, the selected individual will report directly to the Regional Repair Operations Manager on a full-time outsourcing employment basis.
The position centers on receiving quality assurance-approved refurbished terminals, verifying checklist components, powering devices, and executing proper labelling and logging before sending items into inventory. The role suits candidates with operational support or warehouse packaging experience who demonstrate high attention to detail, process discipline, and physical stamina for handling devices in a repair center setting.
Responsibilities
- Receive refurbished terminals that have passed quality assurance and verify packaging criteria
- Check off required items including chargers, cables, frosted bags, serial labels, and cartons
- Power on and test terminals before completing the packaging process
- Log every packaged terminal into the system with complete details
- Track daily and weekly packaging performance relative to established targets
- Coordinate the push and collection of terminals with inventory officers
- Maintain accurate records of packaged and unpackaged items and report discrepancies immediately
- Reject damaged or non-compliant terminals and return them with valid reasons
- Enforce standard operating procedures for material usage and packaging
- Partner with repair and quality assurance teams to recommend workflow enhancements
Requirements
- Demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to process discipline
- Possess familiarity with device tracking or inventory systems
- Maintain the ability to follow structured operational workflows
- Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills
- Have physical stamina to handle and package devices for prolonged periods
Qualifications
- Hold an OND, HND, or Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline
- Bring prior experience in warehouse packaging, operations support, or electronics handling
