Job Description
Vercel is hiring a People Systems Manager to own how Workday operates across the company. Workday was recently adopted as the system of record for People data, and the company is still expanding what the platform can do. The job spans system design, access controls, workflow setup and oversight, with the goal of getting the platform ready for public company operations.
Vercel is developing a People technology setup where Workday powers things behind the scenes rather than through a conventional HR interface. Employees and managers would start transactions and reach their data from tools they already use, such as Slack and internal apps. The manager pairs with integration engineers to wire Workday's access model and Business Process Framework into those experiences without weakening governance or data integrity.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role with real decision-making over Workday standards, architecture and controls. The posting wants at least five years working directly in Workday HCM. The position is full-time and remote for candidates outside the commuting distance of Vercel's San Francisco, New York, London or Berlin offices, while nearby candidates attend the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. The San Francisco base pay range is $167,000 to $204,000.
