Bosch is seeking a Practice Head – Cloud and Custom App Development for a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This leadership position directs the strategy, management, and execution of enterprise-wide custom application development, cloud services, and Microsoft D365 implementations. The ideal professional brings extensive experience in guiding technology practices, handling AWS and Azure cloud platforms, and overseeing ongoing programs to ensure quality standards and strict deadlines are met.
This role suits an experienced technology leader with a background in IT delivery, team building, and operational efficiency. The person in this position will direct IT solutions following industry frameworks such as ITIL, DevOps, SDLC, Agile, PMI, PCI, and security best practices. Responsibilities also include organizational design, strategic hiring, performance evaluations, capability development, and driving cost efficiency across competency clusters. The candidate will collaborate with service delivery heads and project managers to maintain timely deliverables and achieve high customer satisfaction ratings.
Furthermore, the position involves managing operational risks, improving workplace culture through employee engagement, and forecasting alongside business partners to support growth strategies. The right candidate will foster innovation, encourage solution-oriented thinking in emerging technology domains, and manage stakeholder expectations across multiple geographies.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic direction, management, and implementation of enterprise-wide application development, cloud services, and Microsoft D365 platforms
- Deliver projects and programs while evaluating progress, quality, risks, issues, and corrective actions to meet deadlines
- Oversee operations and deliverables to maximize efficacy, cost efficiency, and business unit throughput
- Manage and mitigate risks across technical operations, customer servicing functions, and processes
- Collaborate with business partners to forecast and support business growth strategies
- Partner with service delivery heads and project managers to execute timely deliverables using customer-friendly approaches
- Drive innovation and solution mindsets in new technology areas to create products and services
- Manage organizational design, strategic hiring, performance, compensation, and team capability training
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in a similar role within the IT services or software industry
- Prior end-to-end IT delivery experience in custom applications development, verification and validation, and cloud
- Mandatory experience in Microsoft programs and technology
- Global delivery experience with exposure to multi-geography customers
- Demonstrated project management experience, preferably utilizing Agile methods
Qualifications
- MBA or B.E. degree, with an MBA in General Management acting as an additional advantage
- Engineering degree from a premium institute
- Experience managing Microsoft technology practices, human capital management, and testing practices
- Experience managing AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- Project management qualifications including PMP, Agile, and relevant certifications
- Background in AI and Generative AI technologies
