Job Description
Supabase operates an open-source Postgres development platform utilized by millions of developers and thousands of enterprises, encompassing services like Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. The company is currently hiring a Product Lead for Infrastructure to take ownership of the foundational primitives that run every Supabase product, including compute, disks, networking, the API gateway, capacity, and regional operations. Reporting to the Head of Product, this role acts as the initial product team member for the platform area, with responsibilities extending to enterprise features such as read replicas, custom domains, PrivateLink, and Bring Your Own Cloud.
This position involves engaging with a broad user base ranging from independent developers on free tiers to regulated enterprises navigating complex network architecture reviews. The person in this role will define requirements, establish reliability service levels, set strategic quarterly priorities, and align engineering, design, and leadership teams across a globally distributed environment. Ideal candidates possess extensive product management experience within developer tools or cloud infrastructure, demonstrate a strong technical background, and thrive in an asynchronous, fully remote work culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage platform primitives including compute, disks, networking, the API gateway, capacity, and regions
- Oversee enterprise capabilities such as read replicas, custom domains, PrivateLink, and Bring Your Own Cloud
- Engage with users spanning individual developers, growing startups, and enterprise clients
- Determine requirements and establish problem statements prior to engineering execution
- Set quarterly priorities balancing enterprise market unlocks, performance wins, and new capabilities
- Define and monitor service level reliability metrics aligned with customer experiences
- Maintain alignment across engineering, design, and leadership teams regarding upcoming dependencies
Requirements
- At least 8 years of product management experience working on developer tools or service as a founder in the space
- Demonstrated experience shipping cloud infrastructure products, having owned compute, networking, storage, or multi-tenant systems at a cloud or PaaS company
- Familiarity with scaling infrastructure from single-region to multi-region deployments
- Capacity to use AI tools for research, drafting, and synthesizing feedback
Qualifications
- Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure procurement processes, PrivateLink, and Bring Your Own Cloud
