Tether.io seeks a Product Manager for On-Ramp and Swap to direct the strategy for purchasing and exchanging digital assets within its self-custodial Tether Wallet. This fully remote position focuses on making the acquisition of USDT and XAUT straightforward and accessible globally, particularly in regions where reliable money and savings are difficult to obtain. The selected candidate will map out regional payment methods, evaluate and onboard service providers, oversee technical integrations, and optimize routing logic to enhance user conversion rates.
This role bridges product management, payments infrastructure, and external partnerships. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in both traditional finance or fintech and the cryptocurrency sector, alongside practical experience handling third-party payment integrations and partner performance management. Tether operates as a decentralized, global team of professionals working remotely across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the roadmap and strategy for acquiring and swapping into USDT and XAUT within the Tether Wallet ecosystem.
- Collaborate with regional expansion teams to understand local payment landscapes, regulatory environments, and dominant financial rails.
- Establish evaluation criteria and select optimal fiat on-ramp and token swap partners for each target market.
- Lead partner onboarding efforts from initial evaluation through contract negotiation and go-live phases in coordination with legal and compliance teams.
- Translate partner API capabilities into clear product requirements and user stories for engineering and design teams.
- Design the routing logic that assigns users the best partner and payment method based on location, currency, amount, and availability.
- Monitor funnel metrics such as conversion rates, payment approvals, KYC drop-off rates, and overall transaction volumes to guide optimizations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of product management experience within the financial industry such as banking, payment service providers, or fintech.
- Minimum of 3 years of product management experience focused on crypto or decentralized finance.
- Familiarity with crypto wallets and decentralized finance mechanics including token swaps, DEX aggregators, and on-chain transaction flows.
- Understanding of global payment systems, credit card schemes, authorization workflows, 3-D Secure, chargebacks, and local financial transfer methods.
- Practical experience working with fiat on-ramp, off-ramp, or swap providers, or integrating third-party payment gateways into consumer applications.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating, choosing, onboarding, and managing external business partners.
- Working knowledge of KYC and AML regulatory requirements and their impact on user acquisition funnels.
- Technical capability to read partner API documentation and collaborate closely with software engineering teams.
- Data-driven mindset with a track record of utilizing funnel metrics to boost conversion and drive product decisions.
- Strong English communication skills for collaborating across different time zones in a remote work setting.
