Flex is seeking a Product Owner for Card Programs to lead and scale its financial card infrastructure. In this position, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of card operations, guiding products spanning credit, stablecoin, and rewards. Your mandate is to expand the current portfolio into multiple concurrent programs while growing transaction volume significantly. This opportunity is suited for a seasoned operator who acts as a business unit builder, capable of managing external network relationships, holding vendors accountable, and establishing scalable operational frameworks. Initially working on a small team alongside engineering counterparts, you will also play a key role in recruiting subsequent team members as the function expands. Work locations include San Francisco, New York, Miami, alongside remote arrangements for eligible candidates in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete card stack including ledger, processing, servicing, fulfillment, BIN sponsor management, and network relationships
- Define processor strategy and handle direct relationships with card networks
- Conduct technical and commercial negotiations while holding third-party vendors accountable
- Establish operational frameworks to support five concurrent card programs across credit, stablecoin, and rewards
- Design the operational model to scale portfolio volume by more than an order of magnitude without impacting client experience
- Identify hiring needs and recruit the next wave of team members for the card programs function
- Clarify and communicate technical card issuing details into actionable product decisions for the broader organization
Requirements
- Personally built and launched at least one card program from inception as the primary owner
- Hands-on operational knowledge covering ledgers, processing, servicing, fulfillment, and associated vendor risks
- Familiarity with BIN sponsor mechanics, issuer processing systems, and card network regulations
- Demonstrated seniority typically equivalent to eight to twelve years of professional experience
- Willingness to operate independently at first before building out a dedicated team
