The company is currently hiring a Professional Services Engineer to join its customer services division. This position is suited for a technical professional located in the EST time zone who possesses a background in client-facing implementation and system deployment.
In this capacity, you will serve as the technical lead for customer onboarding, working alongside clients and integration partners to set up and configure BigID discovery tools. Your day-to-day work will involve translating business objectives into technical setups, diagnosing root causes for deployment hurdles, and facilitating training sessions for various stakeholders ranging from hands-on administrators to executive leadership. Additionally, you will coordinate directly with product management and engineering teams to document field issues and share feedback for future product updates. The role requires the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight while managing full solution lifecycles from architecture design to final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Consult directly with client stakeholders to map business goals to technical specifications
- Plan and execute implementation engagements by deploying solution components and configuring software within specific client environments
- Collaborate internally and externally to ensure seamless product integration and rollout
- Provide customized technical training sessions for administrators and executives
- Investigate deployment problems down to their root cause and drive solutions
- Partner with engineering and product management teams to document field challenges and enhancement requests
Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in a customer-facing technical capacity involving product implementation or enterprise system deployment
- Troubleshooting expertise across compute, storage, networking, databases, DevOps, security, big data or analytics, and application development
- Practical background covering the full solution lifecycle from architecture and design to testing and deployment
- Hands-on experience deploying containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Working familiarity with at least one database system such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB, MongoDB, or IBM DB2
- Experience utilizing major cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity integrating with REST APIs
- Programming or scripting proficiency using Java or Python
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Residency in the EST time zone
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Hadoop technologies including Hive and Spark
- Prior exposure to data governance, data privacy, or data security posture management tools
- Previous experience implementing SaaS solutions
