GitLab wants a Technical Recruiter to help assemble the engineering and product staff who build its DevSecOps offering. This remote, individual-contributor role belongs to a worldwide Talent Acquisition group.

The recruiter takes ownership of each search from the intake meeting through to close. Work involves coordinating with leaders in Engineering, Product, Security, and UX, documenting progress accurately in Greenhouse, and advising hiring teams on the scope of each role, interview design, and timelines.

Much of the job revolves around sourcing and candidate care. The recruiter designs sourcing strategies that emphasize diversity, adjusts approach using market data and pipeline statistics, and judges technical applicants on their track record, problem solving, and any open source work. Offers must lay out pay, equity, and benefits in plain terms.

The listing suits a recruiter with intermediate experience who can run searches independently and hopes to become a trusted adviser on talent. Prior technical hiring is preferred, but a genuine interest in engineering and product work also counts.

  • Organized handling of several requisitions, with clear written and spoken updates across time zones
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking software and sourcing tools such as Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Sound judgment when reviewing AI-generated work, plus care with confidential information
