This full-time, on-site Regional Vice President position is open in the United States and covers Elastic's mid-market general business team. Elastic provides search, security and observability technology. The role sits in a segment the company describes as high-potential, and its purpose is to grow existing and new logo revenue through a sales approach that is repeatable and scalable. The posting is aimed at a sales leader who has run mid-market teams and wants to help users solve their hardest problems using search.
The leader is responsible for a group of mid-market Account Executives and for hitting their bookings targets. The job includes building a complete understanding of the platform, product messaging, the partner network and the competitive landscape. The Regional Vice President creates and owns sales plans, pay structures and customer segmentation, and makes sure the team meets quotas by personally applying Elastic's sales methodology. The role also means fostering a culture of openness, creative thinking, collaboration and continuous improvement, and maintaining relationships with open source contributors and partner organizations. Travel is regular and supports deal creation, deal closure and day-to-day management. The leader works with Elastic's leadership to keep the customer experience consistent.
Applicants should have led mid-market sales organizations successfully and built a repeatable, scalable sales strategy. The posting asks for strong analytical skills, decisions grounded in data and experience creating sales processes and frameworks. The ideal person can work well in a quick-moving, technical client acquisition business, has a consistent history of helping teams exceed quotas, and brings SaaS sales leadership experience and an entrepreneurial approach. Exposure to open source business models is a bonus. The typical starting base range is 170,000 to 240,000 USD, the target variable range is 113,200 to 160,000 USD, and the on-target earnings range is 283,200 to 400,000 USD, in a 60/40 split of base and variable pay. Benefits include an employer 401k matching of one dollar for every dollar contributed, up to 6 percent of eligible earnings, and eligibility for the stock program.
