Job Description

Canonical is hiring a Sales Enablement Manager to lead enablement for its worldwide sales organization. The post is full-time and remote, based in EMEA. The posting treats enablement as far more than onboarding: the aim is to help sellers explain what Ubuntu, OpenStack and AI infrastructure deliver to some of the most demanding technology buyers anywhere.

The manager works with sales leadership to pinpoint performance gaps, shorten ramp time, lift productivity and improve win rates. The position sits between product, marketing and sales, converting broad strategy into concrete field practice. It is described as highly visible, in a company that runs a distributed-first way of working.

Program leadership is at the center of the role. The manager runs enablement programs that continually raise productivity and reduce ramp time, and designs global enablement strategy aimed at growing revenue. The manager owns the end-to-end onboarding journey so new hires become productive quickly, and identifies where training is needed across sales teams.

Content and tooling are part of the remit. The manager sets a framework for teams to produce discovery guides, presentation decks and battlecards, builds sophisticated sales plays and competitor intelligence for enterprise accounts, and converts engineering roadmaps into value-led sales narratives alongside product and marketing. The manager also administers the enablement tech stack, including CRM and learning platforms, and runs live and virtual training.

Candidates need an excellent academic background and practice coaching sales leaders and pinpointing commercial problems. Proficiency in MEDDPICC or another modern sales methodology is required, along with the ability to bring people together and drive decisions. Experience building enablement programs from scratch in emerging or fast-growing markets is expected. The posting also values a passion for technology shown through personal projects, and the ability to work well in a multicultural, multinational organization.
