Toptal is seeking remote Salesforce Developers for a full-time, long-term project with an enterprise account. This position is suited for professionals experienced in building Salesforce solutions who regularly use AI copilots and coding agents to streamline their engineering workflows. The client is a global company aiming to speed up Salesforce delivery across Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows.
Selected developers will shepherd user stories from backlogs into production environments on a bi-weekly release schedule. Daily tasks involve working with AI pair-programming tools for code generation, testing, and documentation, while maintaining strict ownership over code quality, automated testing, and security validation. Candidates must be comfortable reviewing AI-produced code before deployment, participating in peer reviews, and taking part in the P1 on-call rotation.
This is a remote engagement requiring candidates based in the USA or Canada who can maintain a six-hour overlap with the US East Coast time zone. The estimated duration for this role is over twelve months.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Salesforce user stories from discovery to production with tests and release notes
- Develop and maintain Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows on a bi-weekly cadence
- Manage pull requests, automated testing, bug fixes, and production-quality checks
- Collaborate with integration engineers to build API and MuleSoft-facing components
- Utilize AI pair-programming for development, Flow building, LWC work, and unit test scaffolding
- Incorporate automated tests and security verifications within the same pull request
- Check for sharing rule compliance, bulkification, security, and Salesforce governor limits
- Engage in peer reviews and participate in the P1 on-call rotation
- Share reusable AI prompts and engineering patterns to boost team efficiency
- Verify and own all production decisions, preventing untested AI code from deployment
Requirements
- 3 to 6+ years of professional Salesforce development experience
- Hands-on background with Apex, Salesforce Flow, and Lightning Web Components
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and pull request procedures
- Automated testing mindset including unit tests and security validation
- Experience checking Salesforce security, sharing rules, governor limits, and bulkification
- Background integrating APIs and MuleSoft-facing solutions with Salesforce
- Daily practical usage of AI copilots or coding agents for discovery, coding, testing, and documentation
- Capability to review and validate AI-generated code prior to production
- Location in the USA or Canada
- Ability to overlap six hours with the US East Coast time zone
