Job Description

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering groups to plan and evaluate secure architectures for customer-facing systems, APIs, integrations, and internal platforms
• Spearhead security reviews, threat modeling sessions, and design assessments for brand-new features and large-scale platform updates
• Pinpoint, verify, and resolve application security flaws across web, backend, cloud, mobile, and API environments
• Establish and enhance security guardrails within the software development lifecycle, focusing on secure defaults, testing, and automation
• Formulate security specifications and inspect controls for AI and agentic features, addressing prompt management, data exposure, abuse scenarios, and external AI services
• Team up with engineering staff to promote secure coding methods, vulnerability management, and risk-driven fixes
• Enhance product and AI security telemetry, detection capabilities, and incident response preparedness alongside detection and infrastructure groups
• Contribute to security benchmarks, reference designs, and developer resources that scale across multiple departments
• Assist with security evaluations for external integrations, partner networks, and features processing sensitive customer data
• Investigate product security incidents and convert those findings into lasting engineering enhancements

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional background in application security, product security, security engineering, or software engineering centered heavily on security
• Solid grasp of contemporary application security principles covering web applications, APIs, authentication, authorization, and cloud-native architectures
• Demonstrated background in performing threat modeling, secure design evaluations, and technical risk assessments
• Practical experience discovering and prioritizing vulnerabilities via manual testing, code review, and security utilities
• Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle methodologies and embedding security inside engineering workflows
• Thorough understanding of common product risks including injection, access control failures, secrets exposure, insecure deserialization, server-side request forgery, and supply chain threats
• Working knowledge of safeguarding AI-enabled items, such as large language model vulnerabilities, prompt injection, data leakage, insecure tool utilization, model abuse, and third-party AI integrations
• Capability to author technical documentation and guide engineering teams without introducing unnecessary friction
• Effective communication skills with the capacity to collaborate across engineering, product, legal, and compliance teams
• Ability to balance strict security measures against product velocity and business needs
