Operating on a remote basis for candidates residing in the Philippines, this engagement involves supporting a United States client through the year-end audit season and financial close cycles. The professional chosen for this job will report directly to the Accounting Lead and take ownership of tasks such as managing monthly accruals, constructing audit support documentation, building financial statements, and preparing stock option roll-forward reports.

The schedule requires working a fixed shift from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM Philippine Standard Time, aligning with US business hours. Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly accrual workflow by examining purchase orders and agreements within Coupa
- Facilitate the monthly and yearly accounting close processes to maintain accurate financial records
- Assemble interim and year-end audit documentation and workbooks to substantiate financial reports
- Contribute to the compilation of financial statements and resolve variances like rounding discrepancies
- Calculate weighted average stock prices and generate the yearly stock option roll forward using Carta reports
- Examine prior-year working papers to understand and replicate historical balance calculations
- Provide assistance with revenue-related accounting duties as necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of progressive accounting background, including senior-level or external audit duties
- Familiarity with US GAAP principles and experience supporting companies based in the United States
- Hands-on expertise in managing accruals and executing financial close procedures
- Proven track record of compiling audit documentation and financial statements
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and pivot tables
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and independently recreate figures using past work papers
- Capacity to work the required US Central Time shift of 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM Philippine Standard Time
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related discipline
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines or the United States
- Familiarity with Coupa or alternative procure-to-pay software
- Working knowledge of the NetSuite ERP platform
- Background in equity accounting, Carta usage, or stock option roll forwards
- Previous employment within a subscription-based, SaaS, or hosting organization involving revenue accounting exposure
