Kong Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Enablement Specialist to join its IT team and lead the deployment of artificial intelligence capabilities across various corporate functions. In this hands-on position, the professional will collaborate directly with departments like Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, and Customer Success to embed AI into everyday business operations. Rather than acting solely in an advisory capacity, the practitioner will construct functional tools, automate workflows, and coach personnel to foster independent AI usage. Responsibilities

  • Embed within various departments to analyze current processes, toolsets, and operational roadblocks
  • Design and deploy custom AI tools, automations, and workflows that generate measurable time savings
  • Coach staff members through working sessions and one-on-one guidance to build autonomous technical capabilities
  • Identify successful single-team solutions and scale them for organization-wide reuse
  • Track adoption progress and report findings regularly to IT leadership
  • Document all developed tools, workflows, and lessons learned to maintain operational standards
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Engineering to formulate internal AI governance frameworks
  • Mentor interns and junior personnel by offering constructive feedback and practical experience
  • Monitor artificial intelligence trends and apply relevant advancements to business use cases

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years working in a cross-functional or technical capacity involving organization-wide problem-solving
  • Demonstrated history of building workflows, automations, or AI-powered tools that transformed operational procedures
  • Background in facilitating the development of technical skills through coaching, formal instruction, or enablement programs
  • Clear communication abilities capable of explaining complex technical topics to novices
  • Capability to operate with high self-direction and comfort amidst ambiguity
  • Previous experience working within or alongside an information technology organization supporting multiple business functions

Qualifications

  • Practical experience utilizing AI tools and development platforms such as LLM APIs, Claude, Claude Code, custom agent frameworks, MCPs, or workflow automation platforms
  • Background in organizational development, change management, or large-scale rollouts involving skeptical stakeholders
  • Experience in consulting, client-facing technical positions, or solutions engineering
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, Freshservice, Okta, Jira, or Salesforce
  • History of developing playbooks, internal toolkits, or training programs adopted at scale
  • Understanding of API management principles, Kong Gateway, or Kong Konnect
