To support this ongoing global growth, Paddle is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to shape data infrastructure, build reliable data models, and champion analytics engineering standards.
In this capacity, the professional will develop advanced data models, create self-service analytics capabilities, and guide business stakeholders toward high-value data outcomes. The role also involves providing informal mentorship to junior team members to foster professional development. Candidates should possess extensive expertise in advanced SQL, Snowflake, and dbt, alongside experience working with BI platforms and no-code data ingestion tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable, complex data models within Snowflake utilizing dbt
- Publish datasets effectively inside business intelligence applications to facilitate self-service analytics
- Execute basic data ingestion tasks using no-code solutions to maintain clean data pipelines
- Incorporate detailed metadata, data quality verifications, data masking for sensitive information, and documentation
- Push information out from Snowflake into other operational platforms
- Detect data quality issues and escalate them to appropriate process owners for resolution
- Facilitate training events and programs to encourage organization-wide business intelligence tool adoption
- Provide informal guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff members
Requirements
- Extensive background in analytics engineering or related data capacities
- Proven expertise using Snowflake, advanced SQL, and dbt
- Proficiency in business intelligence platforms like PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, or Snowsight
- Experience performing data activation and ingestion via tools such as Stitch or Fivetran
- Familiarity with handling metadata, data quality validation, documentation, and sensitive data masking
- Strong stakeholder collaboration skills to understand business data requirements and deliver solutions
