This position is designed for a quota-carrying technologist who acts as a trusted advisor to clients throughout their entire lifecycle, from the initial discovery phase to long-term adoption and account expansion. The role sits inside the go-to-market organization and reports directly to the Regional Customer Engineering Leader. Professionals in this position utilize AI-augmented workflows to handle routine administrative tasks, allowing them to concentrate on high-value architectural design, technical onboarding, and delivering measurable business results.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of technical acumen across web security, networking, and cloud infrastructure, combined with a commercial mindset. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Executives to conduct technical discovery sessions, construct custom architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts across networking, security, and developer platforms
- Direct or oversee technical onboarding and implementation while serving as the main executive and engineering point of contact
- Track dynamic customer health metrics and telemetry data to accelerate time-to-value and resolve integration roadblocks
- Maintain a variable quota linked to new customer acquisition and ongoing account growth, identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
- Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews with C-suite executives to demonstrate return on investment based on platform usage
- Utilize AI agents and internal platforms to automate administrative duties such as security questionnaires, sandbox provisioning, and basic monitoring
Requirements
- Prior background in a customer-facing technical job such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineer
- Extensive technical knowledge covering web security, cloud infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and networking topics like routing, DNS, and DDoS mitigation
- Demonstrated history of working in a revenue-aligned or quota-carrying capacity with familiarity in SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management abilities to bridge technical implementation details with executive business strategy
- Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without requiring sponsorship for an export license
Qualifications
- Practical background building or architecting solutions on Cloudflare's developer platform and AI ecosystem, including Workers AI, Vectorize, and AI Gateway
- Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures, prompt engineering, or Large Language Model orchestration
- Ability to write custom integration scripts, API connectors, and edge computing functions using Python, JavaScript, or comparable languages
