Responsibilities
- Build and lead the local Abu Dhabi team while managing the Middle East crypto business and ADGM legal entity
- Engage senior regulators, clients, and industry stakeholders
- Drive the creation and execution of the UAE crypto strategy alongside the Dubai and VARA team
- Develop operational capacity to expand the tokenization business and adjacent opportunities under ADGM
- Manage strategic budgeting and resourcing to maximize business impact and align with financial frameworks
- Establish governance structures including controls, compliance programs, and ethical leadership practices
- Lead ongoing communication and relationship-building with ADGM and FSRA
- Promote company culture and ensure customer interests are prioritized
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of senior-level experience within financial services, including background with securities
- Strong familiarity with ADGM and FSRA regulatory requirements regarding client assets, custody, best execution, market conduct, and AML frameworks
- Proven background in operational oversight, such as developing policies and monitoring day-to-day business activities
- Understanding of regulated financial services functions like compliance, finance, risk, treasury, audit, and outsourcing
- Demonstrated capability to influence and align regional and global stakeholders
- Ability to assess and escalate risk with strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with regulators including ADGM and FSRA
