In this position, the professional joins the Europe Accounting team to serve as a key player in financial integrity and integration. The role focuses on directing capital, building financial strategies, and ensuring long-term value. The ideal professional possesses expertise in complex financial environments and is comfortable navigating ambiguity. Day-to-day work involves guiding month-end and quarter-end close procedures, managing operational oversight for journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, and introducing scalable controls. This individual also partners closely with operations and regional teams while coordinating audit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close tasks to guarantee accuracy and timeliness under US headquarters guidelines
- Supervise the review of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Identify process gaps and establish scalable controls to tighten financial governance and shorten close timelines across Europe
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in regional teams and operations to refine accounting workflows and data quality
- Handle internal and external audit requests while keeping documentation for key accounting processes and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualified experience
- Significant background working within a fast-paced, complex financial setting, with a preference for group reporting focus
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar enterprise resource planning systems and financial reporting software
- Demonstrated capability to partner with cross-functional groups and influence senior leaders
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accountancy qualification
