Demandbase is seeking a United States-based Senior FP&A Manager to act as the dedicated finance partner for its Engineering organization. The person reports to the VP of Finance and takes ownership of forecasting, headcount planning and spending analysis for that group. The company's product helps go-to-market teams accelerate growth through automation.
Responsibilities include planning headcount, forecasting cost of goods sold and operating expenses, managing cost centers, and examining the main spending drivers, such as capitalized software, cloud and infrastructure costs and staffing trade-offs. The manager builds product-level profit-and-loss views, tracks operating metrics and explains margin movements and risks to leaders.
The manager also supports corporate planning when required, including the yearly budget, rolling forecasts, the multi-year plan, board materials and investor-relations work. Engineering partnership is the main focus.
Candidates need five to seven years in FP&A or financial planning, ideally at a technology or software-as-a-service company, and a bachelor-level degree in finance, accounting or economics, or a closely related discipline. An MBA or CPA would be an advantage. Responsibilities
- Serve as finance partner to Engineering leaders, shaping plans and tradeoffs
- Own headcount planning, COGS and opex forecasts and cost center oversight
- Assess cost drivers such as capitalized software, cloud spend and resourcing choices
- Develop product-level P&Ls that reveal profitability, cost allocation and margin levers
- Define operating metrics and connect them to financial results
- Support the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range plan
- Help prepare board and investor materials
Requirements
- Five to seven years of FP&A or financial planning experience, ideally in tech or SaaS
- Independent ownership of complex planning processes
- Track record as a trusted finance adviser to an engineering or technical group
- Strong communication and presentation skills with finance leaders and operating teams
- Hands-on fluency with NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning and Google Sheets models
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics including ARR, CAC and margin
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level degree in finance, accounting or economics, or a related field

- Exposure to corporate FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting and board reporting
