This full-time position focuses on designing and delivering frontend features, enhancing performance and scalability, and incorporating artificial intelligence workflows into daily engineering tasks.
The role suits an experienced engineer capable of working in an asynchronous, remote-first environment who can independently translate vague product demands into practical architectural solutions. Team members are expected to utilize artificial intelligence as a productivity tool, collaborate closely across disciplines, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
- Design and ship frontend features and improvements with limited supervision while making pragmatic architectural decisions
- Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical plans and accessible user experiences
- Promote product quality, security, performance, maintainability, and operational readiness throughout development
- Establish practices for frontend architecture, component design, testing, and the use of artificial intelligence tools
- Mentor associate and intermediate engineers, clear technical blockers, and improve delivery practices
- Identify and resolve frontend performance and reliability issues at scale and participate in on-call rotations
- Collaborate across product, design, backend, quality, and security teams to deliver cohesive outcomes
Requirements
- Experience applying frontend architecture, browser behavior, testing, accessibility, and performance practices in complex environments
- Experience designing modular frontend boundaries, component systems, or migration-safe architectures
- Ability to collaborate with product and design partners to convert complex requirements into clear user experiences
- Demonstrated technical leadership through judgment, teamwork, and written communication
- Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, or hands-on work
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote, asynchronous organization by managing priorities and communicating clearly in writing
- Practical experience integrating artificial intelligence into features or engineering processes while evaluating reliability and privacy
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Vue, React, Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or object storage
- Knowledge of representational state transfer or GraphQL
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine, Docker, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Prometheus or Sentry
- Familiarity with Git, GitLab Runner, or GitLab continuous integration and continuous delivery
