As a Senior Fullstack Engineer on the GTM Engineering team, you will construct and manage backend services and APIs that drive growth and go-to-market platforms, while also participating in frontend tasks as needed. The GTM Engineering department collaborates closely with Design, Marketing, and Content to translate business goals into reliable technical execution across campaign infrastructure, content tooling, and web platforms. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting growth and go-to-market platforms
- Contribute across the technology stack including frontend tasks when projects require it
- Drive technical direction for owned systems by evaluating build-versus-buy alternatives and trade-offs
- Detect and fix performance, scalability, and reliability bottlenecks in backend infrastructure
- Review system designs and code written by peers to deliver constructive feedback
- Mentor junior engineers joining the team
- Document backend architecture and system design decisions for asynchronous collaboration
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in operating backend systems within production environments
- Proficiency across the full stack with experience in Go, Ruby, Node, and Vue
- Extensive background in backend service design encompassing database performance, data modeling, and API design
- Ability to independently navigate technical trade-offs
- Adaptability in a fast-paced setting where priorities adjust alongside campaign schedules
- Proficient written communication abilities to produce architecture proposals and design records
Qualifications
- Background in constructing marketing, growth, or go-to-market engineering systems like campaign infrastructure or content tooling
- Previous tenure inside a remote-first or distributed enterprise
- Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical strategy beyond individual tasks
- Ability to clearly explain technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences
