Wise is seeking a Senior Implementation Manager for its Treasury Safeguarding division based in London. This on-site role operates within the Finance and Treasury Product department, focusing on protecting user funds across multiple operational regions and legal entities. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between global automated controls and local regional execution, ensuring new product launches and market expansions maintain rigorous fund protection standards.
The position requires close collaboration with engineering, analytics, compliance, finance, and operations units. Responsibilities span managing product safeguarding reviews, onboarding new entities into existing controls, leading complex integrations, and resolving operational incidents transparently. Responsibilities
- Run safeguarding reviews and approval processes for upcoming products and product modifications
- Maintain a project tracker for initiatives requiring safeguarding support and report on project status
- Facilitate the launch of new legal entities by integrating them into global systems and local control structures
- Coordinate with regional finance and compliance teams to ensure local operational readiness
- Lead complex integrations involving product managers, engineers, data analysts, and operations specialists
- Document product flows, safeguarding calculations, and technical requirements
- Assist engineering and product teams during incidents by identifying root causes, driving resolutions, and refining controls
Requirements
- Professional background in regulated finance, implementation, controls, regulatory operations, or treasury operations within fintech or financial services
- Familiarity with customer fund protection frameworks such as safeguarding or client money CASS regimes
- Comprehension of financial data processing, ledgers, and reconciliation logic
- Ability to structure complex challenges, align diverse stakeholders, and communicate technical topics clearly
- Track record of managing multi-team workstreams across time zones without direct line management authority
Qualifications
- Experience participating in internal or external audits or regulator inspections
- Familiarity with control frameworks, risk tools, or obligation-to-control mapping
- Working knowledge of SQL or data analysis platforms like Snowflake and Looker
- Prior involvement in launching a new regulated entity or expanding into new markets
- Knowledge of safeguarding regulations across multiple global regions including the UK, EU, APAC, and North America
