Job Description
Gusto, which provides payroll, health insurance, 401(k) and HR services to small businesses, is hiring a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager for remote work. The role leads lifecycle marketing for Gusto's accountant and bookkeeper channel, which reaches small businesses through the professionals who manage their finances. Email and webinars are the main communication tools for this audience.
The manager owns the lifecycle strategy and builds the programs that carry it out. AI-powered and agentic workflows are described as a core part of the job. Responsibilities include planning, building, testing, launching and reporting on email campaigns, through third-party platforms or Gusto's own agentic email tool. The role also runs the webinar program end to end, covering scheduling, creating, promoting, following up and measuring results. Other work includes building AI-driven workflows that handle segmentation, personalization and reporting, setting the channel roadmap with partner teams, and analyzing performance through tests and recommendations.
The posting asks for more than eight years in lifecycle work, growth marketing, CRM, or channel and partner marketing. Practical use of a large-scale marketing automation platform is required, and Marketo or Iterable is strongly preferred. Candidates should have led AI or agentic systems doing genuine marketing work, not just drafting copy, and should have owned email campaigns and webinar programs from start to finish. Strong copywriting and editing skills, the ability to adjust tone for different audiences, and experience collaborating with product, analytics and marketing teams are also expected. Degree-level education or equivalent hands-on experience is listed.
The cash compensation target is 134,000 to 168,000 USD per year in Denver. In San Francisco and New York, the target is 158,000 to 197,000 USD per year. Final offers depend on experience and other factors. Full-time employees also receive base pay, benefits and RSU equity.
