Job Description
This is a remote senior management role open across Europe, with London, Berlin, Copenhagen or Helsinki as preferred hub cities. It sits in the Global Sourcing team within Global Procurement, which serves the Deliveroo and Wolt brands. The purpose is to direct Corporate Services Sourcing and shape category approaches for an indirect-spend book worth several million pounds.
The manager reports upward to the head of global strategic sourcing, a Director-level role, and oversees five colleagues. Coverage across EMEA includes professional services, global security, facilities and property, outsourced business processes, HR and benefits, and contingent labour. The post also teams up with DoorDash's Corporate Services group to secure enterprise-wide efficiencies.
Typical duties include drawing up multi-year category plans that lift maturity and bring down total cost of ownership, rather than focusing only on unit savings. The manager runs the complete sourcing cycle for high-stakes corporate purchases, from data analysis and RFx design through bid evaluation to negotiating master agreements and statements of work. Senior colleagues in Finance, Legal, HR and Security turn to this person for escalations, and supplier performance, service levels, risk exposure and responsible sourcing standards also fall within the remit. Upgrading procurement systems and introducing AI-assisted sourcing methods is expected.
Core requirements include a substantial record in corporate services sourcing, experience building and executing category strategies, people leadership, strong negotiation and TCO modelling skills, and deep risk management capability across third-party assessments and contract oversight in several legal jurisdictions. Useful extras include exposure to technology or fast-growing marketplaces, familiarity with systems such as Coupa, NetSuite or Pivot, and experience operating in several European regulatory environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a five-person sourcing group, setting clear goals and accountability
- Build longer-range category plans that raise maturity and reduce total cost of ownership
- Coordinate category plans with DoorDash sourcing leaders to capture cross-region leverage
- Manage each stage of complex corporate purchases, including bid events and MSA or SOW negotiations
- Serve as the go-to adviser for senior leaders in Finance, Legal, HR and Security
- Oversee supplier performance, service levels, supplier risk and responsible sourcing practices
- Drive upgrades to procurement tools and AI-enabled sourcing processes
Requirements
- Extensive corporate services sourcing experience, including strategic category planning
- People management experience developing sourcing specialists
- Strong commercial and negotiation capability, including TCO modelling and complex contracts
- Skill in engaging matrixed partners across multiple brands
- Experience with third-party risk assessment and contract oversight across jurisdictions
Qualifications
- Background in technology or high-growth marketplace settings
- Experience with procurement and CLM tools such as Coupa, NetSuite or Pivot
- Interest in using AI tools day to day in sourcing work
- Experience working across European markets and rules
